Georgia Scherman Projects is pleased to announce Anitra Hamilton’s first solo commercial gallery exhibition. GSP will present Hamilton’s art - from her practice over the past twenty years to several new works never before exhibited. It will delve into her concentration on recurring themes of territoriality, hierarchy and ownership.
Hamilton’s art often seduces through the use of diverse materials and tactile surfaces in order to engage her audience in a larger discourse on the aforementioned themes. It is steeped in critical skepticism and sarcasm.
